How does auto-clipping work?

You upload a long video - a podcast, an interview, a stream, a webinar. We transcribe it, read the whole transcript, and rank the 10 moments most worth posting, each with a score, a title and one line saying why. You pick the ones you want and each becomes its own vertical short, cut to the word and opened in the editor with its captions already on it.

How long can the video be?

Between 10 seconds and 2 hours, up to 2 GB, as MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV. A one-hour podcast is the case it is built for.

What does it cost?

The analysis costs 0.06 tokens per minute of video, so a one-hour podcast is 3.6 tokens. You see the exact price before it is charged, and it is refunded if the analysis fails. Cutting the clips you pick is free; only rendering one costs tokens after that, at the normal rate.

How long are the clips?

Accepted Answer

Between 15 and 90 seconds, cut on word and sentence boundaries so a clip never opens or ends mid-word. On a source shorter than that, the whole thing is the clip.

Can I paste a YouTube link?

Not yet - today it takes a file you upload. The link route is designed and not shipped, and we would rather have no button than one that fails.

Does it follow the speaker around the frame?

No. A clip is cropped to a static 9:16 centre crop, which suits solo and centred footage. There is no face tracking or active-speaker reframing yet, so a two-person landscape interview crops to the space between them.

Question 7

What happens to my video after the analysis?

Accepted Answer

We delete it. 24 hours after a run finishes, the uploaded video and its transcript are deleted from our storage - long enough for you to take the clips you want. The list of moments stays as a record of what was found, and the clips you did take are yours and are not touched.

Question 8

What makes a moment score highly?

Accepted Answer

Whether it stands alone as a short video: a hook in the first seconds, a payoff that lands inside the clip, and no dependence on something said twenty minutes earlier. A high score means you could post it as it is; a low one means the stretch is fine in a podcast and weak on its own.
